ARITA WARE
Arita ware (有田焼, Arita-yaki) is a type of Japanese porcelain that originated in the town of Arita, in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu. It dates back to the early 17th century and is known for its high-quality, delicate white porcelain with intricate, colorful designs often featuring blue underglaze. Arita ware was one of Japan's first ceramics to be exported to Europe, and it played a key role in establishing Japan's reputation for fine porcelain.
